The Apollo Command & Service Module prepares to dock at STA.
In Space Agency, the Apollo Command/Service Module is comprised of the Apollo Service Module and the Crew Capsule or Crew Capsule Dockable, with which the latter is designed to dock with a Lander for landings on LUN or other planets.
The Crew Capsule Dockable is used in Mission 13, Mission 14 and Mission 16.

- The Apollo Command/Service Module (CSM) was one of two spacecraft, along with the Lunar Module, used for the United States Apollo program which landed astronauts on the Moon.
- It was built for NASA by North American Aviation. It was launched by itself on three suborbital and low Earth orbit Apollo test missions using the Saturn 1B launch vehicle. It was also launched twelve times on the larger Saturn V launch vehicle, both by itself and with the Lunar Module.
- It made a total of nine manned flights to the Moon aboard the Saturn V.
- The cost of both parts in Career Mode is 6 million with the Service Module and Crew Capsule Dockable, and 5 million with the regular crew capsule.
- There were two slightly different designs of the Command Service Module used during Apollo, named Block I and Block II. Block I was the initially constructed design, Block II was an upgraded model of the Block I. Primarily, the differences were the size of the escape hatch at the top of the Crew Module, the location of exterior communications antennaes, the design of the protective heat shield... more info about these differences can be found here.
- During the Apollo 1 incident, a fire broke out in the Crew Module, which killed all three people. The hatch in Apollo 1 is more difficult to open, which is the reason why the crew died. The Block II variant is built as a response to the accident.
- During Skylab's final orbits, a crew capsule was designed for 5-6 people for a "Skylab Crew Rescue". However, the Skylab decayed orbit much faster, meaning that the crew capsule never operated.
